The Houston Airport System is the City of Houston's Department of Aviation. The Houston Airport System manages and operates three airports: George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) and Ellington Airport/Houston Spaceport (EFD). Highlights pertaining to each airport facility can be viewed below.
George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

- Houston's largest airport and the 16th busiest airport in North America, according to ACI-NA (2019)

- More than 45 million passengers traveled through IAH in 2019, including more than 10 million international passengers

- 5 passenger terminals
William P. Hobby Airport (HOU)

- Welcomed international air service in 2015
- Air service to 83 destinations throughout the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean
- More than 14.4 million passengers served in 2019
- 40th busiest airport in North America, according to ACI-NA (2019)
- New federal inspection services facility opened October 2015
Ellington Airport (EFD)

- Became the nation's 10th licensed commercial spaceport in June 2015
- Supports the operations of the United States Military, NASA and a variety of general aviation tenants
- Home of the annual Wings Over Houston Airshow
- Provides 24-hour air traffic control services
